Heath Returns to 410 Racing with Skagit Speedway Sweep

Alger, WA - It’s been over a decade since Colton Heath was a full time competitor in the Karmart 410 Sprint division at Skagit Speedway. On Saturday night, Heath returned to the class and served notice that his run as a fill in driver for Dynes Racing will be memorable as he made a clean sweep of the night and took home a $5,000 pay day for his efforts.

With their normal driver, Justin Youngquist, nursing injuries sustained at the Summer Nationals, Dynes Racing tapped Heath to fill in for 410 competition for the rest of 2024. On Saturday night, the decision looked brilliant as Colton rolled to quick time, won his heat from fourth and led every lap of the main event to complete the sweep in the Karmart 410 Sprint Cars. Jason Solwold made late gains with Heath in traffic, but at the checkered flag it was Colton ahead of Jason and Robbie Price to fill out the podium. Price was the other heat race winner on the night.

360 Sprints were also on the card and a total of eight drivers did double duty on the night. When the dust settled on the 360 feature, it was Levi Klatt taking the victory after leading all thirty laps from the pole position. Dominic Scelzi moved his way to second but ran out of time to run down Klatt, who enjoyed his first 360 win at Skagit Speedway. Robbie Price ran third. Levi Hillier set fast time, while Levi Kuntz, Sclezi and Price won the heat races.

Mike Guffey was also a first time feature winner on the night, as he led every lap of the Hornet main event. Guffey went unchallenged in driving away from Howard Vos and Wyatt Covert for his first career win. Brian Michelson set fast time, while heat race wins went to Guffey and Covert.
